Dinosaur Camp (PALE0001)
Description
Dinosaur Camp offers an introductory palaeontology and geology experience.
Activities include:
- Learn all about dinosaurs and other fossils
- Field trips to fossil-bearing sites of Grande Prairie Area
- Tours of local palaeontology exhibits
- Fun and educational games about fossils and fossil hunters
- Lectures and field activities with real palaeontologists
- Dinosaur excavation exercise
- An introduction to rock & mineral identification
- Creating a poster of your favourite dinosaur
The primary goal is for campers to learn about the prehistory of the Peace Region, and enjoy themselves while doing it.
These are day-camps that run daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Grande Prairie Regional College. Children bring their own lunches.
Registration Fee:
$100.00 (includes T-shirt). A charitable tax receipt will be issued for $50.00

Children Ages 7 to 10 - July 5 to 9, 2010
Children Ages 10 to 13 - July 12 - 16, 2010
Children Ages 7 to 10 - July 26 to 30, 2010
Children Ages 10 to 13 - August 16 - 20, 2010
