Library Cards

Your Student ID / Library card is mailed to you. You will need this card to borrow materials and to access the library's electronic databases.


Requesting Materials

Requesting Books

Use the NEOS catalogue to search for books. Click on Request/Hold This Item found in the catalogue record for the book:

Log in using your User ID (Library card barcode) and Pin (last 4 digits of barcode) and choose Grande Prairie Regional College in the "Pickup at" menu. The item will be mailed to your address.

Requesting Articles

Use our databases to search for articles. For help with searching databases, click here. If the article is available full-text, you will be able to read them on your computer. If you are directed to our print collection of journals, contact Christopher Murphy who handles Distance Education requests.

If you find an article that is not available in our databases or print collection, you can use Interlibrary Loan to order it from another library.


Delivery of Materials

Once you have found the information you are looking for, it will be sent directly to you:

  • Requested materials are collected, signed out and mailed to distance education students.
  • Parcels are shipped pre-paid via Priority Post/Government Courier.
  • Pre-paid return bill of lading & shipping label are included to return materials to GPRC Library.
  • If some items must be returned earlier than the rest, a second return manifest will be sent for the remaining items.
